A cape adds magic to any costume! Each participant will make a 32 inch long, black panne velvet cape with a hood in just 2 hrs. You will learn how to: layout and cut a cape pattern, best fabrics for cape construction and how to hand assemble your cape. The unique circle pattern can be worn by an adult or child, it’s a true one size fits all garment. In two hours you’ll learn new skills and have the cape to prove it! No sewing skill necessary.
A Mask adds a new dimension to any costume. Participants will: make a Domino mask pattern based on their facial measurements for customize mask fit. Explore together how slight differences in a mask can change the viewer’s perception of the character. Each participant will hand cut and complete 2 vinyl face masks. Choose from Sinister, Fanciful, Steam Punk or Superhero mask patterns.
