Defend Yourself and Your Lair From Meddling Peasants and Self-Righteous NPC 'Heroes'
Summary:
It's time to show those cocky, meddling heroes that things don't always go their way. In this game, you'll play as monsters defending your home from trespassers, thieves, and self-righteous paladins.
Description:
In this reversal of roles, you will role-play the monsters and I will role-play the heroes. And the peasant hordes. And the neighboring monsters. In the same vein as the video game Dungeon Keeper, you'll have traps and minions and magic to aid you in punishing those who trespass through your domain and seek to claim what is rightfully yours. For years, you've lived a peaceful life, living off the land and making a home for yourself. But now the villagers you've been feasting on are thirsting for revenge and are planning an assault. And after you've dealt with those pesky peasants, there are rumors that some neighboring creatures have become envious of your spacious apartments and wish to have them as their own. And let us not forget the unending stream of "heroes" who wish to slay you "in the name of justice". You know the truth: they really just want your gold.
You could swear that chair was in a different spot last night. You hear voices when you lie in bed at night. Are there ghosts in Crag City? Well, not exactly...
Description:
Crag City is a small, out-of-the-way mining community which mostly is ignored - so long as the town is keeping up the production levels demanded by the Crown. A few months ago, the ore exports from Crag City fell to almost nothing. A few weeks ago, a ragged, half-dead messenger from Crag City arrived before the Crown claiming that the city was being torn apart, and desperately pleading for aid. He then fell to feverish rambling, and was taken to the infirmaries. Unsure how to proceed, the Crown has dispatched your characters to Crag City to discover the truth. Your mission is threefold: a) Investigate the messenger's claims; b) Discover the reason for the lapse in ore production; c) Restore order and defeat any adversaries attempting to interfere with your other goals, if necessary. All characters will be pregenerated at approximately 10th level.
Ever wanted to witness the zombie apocalypse from the other side? Now's your chance! Play a group of freshly-resurrected zombies on a quest to regain your memories by eating the brains of the living.
Description:
The Zombie Inquisition is a rules-light exploration of what the zombie apocalypse might look like from the other side. Players will take on the roles of zombies who just can't quite remember who they were and what they were alive for. Naturally, of course, the way to figure this out is to eat the brains of people who are still alive. Memories are stored in brains, right? What difference does it make if it's my brain or yours? By themselves, zombies aren't particularly powerful--it's the sheer number of them that is overwhelming. So, taking cues from games like Paranoia, you can expect your zombies to die. A lot. Er, again. But maybe, if you're lucky, a few of you might eat enough brains to remember why life is worth living after all.
