Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (aka STEAM or STEM) are the hot topics in education these days. Learn how to teach and introduce STEAM and STEM through games.
Sometimes the introduction of STEAM or STEM is difficult due to lack of access to technology, or low student interest/engagement. In this seminar, participants will develop ideas and projects that involve games and game dynamics with the intention of teaching STEM and STEAM without access to technology, and while fully engaging students.
This seminar will explore how to use table top games to build a sense of community in your area.
The seminar will cover methods to build a sense of community in your area. Methods covered will be good establishing various types of communities for varying purposes (i.e. establishing a good customer base, successful youth program, neighborhood gaming group, and more). Examples will be provided for each method, as well as useful resources and contacts, all with the end goal being able to establish a "sense of community" in your area.
