Learn the art of kumihimo, a Japanese form of braid making. Students will create a beaded bracelet that looks and moves like the scales of a dragon. Several colors will be available to choose from so you can create your own fire or ice dragon. We will get a good start on setting up your looms and working on the braid, however we most like won't finish the piece in class. Beads, chain, findings, and charms are included with your kit and the kumihimo loom, bobbins, and materials are yours to keep as well!

Several colors will be available to choose from so you can create a bracelet that looks like it belongs to wood elf or a dark elf. Learn about various types of fiber and fiber preparation. We will look at different breeds of sheep's wool, mohair, silk, and more! We will also study fiber preparation - from unprocessed fleece to finished yarns - and how that affects your spinning. Various fiber processing tools will also be demonstrated. Students will make a mini journal bursting with samples.
