American Sign Language (ASL) Basics and Fun Gaming Ideas
Summary:
Have you ever seen people waving their hands around & wondered what they're saying? Want to add real meaning to your hand motions when spell casting? Then this ASL workshop is for you!
Description:
All you need are your hands, and a few brain cells. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to embellish your stories like a true Dungeon Master. This is a chance to be silly, learn to beat the pants of everybody in charades, learn how to communicate, cheat on tests, talk behind your bosses back, and many other things. There are many ways can one use sign language anyway! We will learn the alphabet, some signs (participant directed) and classifier usage (the fun stuff that makes good gestures and your stories come alive). Come in and find out, all experience levels welcome, all hearing levels welcome. The more the merrier!
Part 2 of ZED17104995. Now that you are done getting to know Gen Con, Indy & your fellow con-goers. Let's see those pictures! Time to reveal the winners!
Description:
Let's see if all of your hard work has paid off! Will you be the winner of a fabulous prize; which we will hopefully figure out by mid-August ;) Or will you just walkaway with sugary goodness, everyone gets something!!
Want to run around the ICC & Indy for the chance to win prizes? Think you can find Princess Leia or a faerie? Then join us for a 'spot the geek' scavenger hunt!
Description:
This event requires you to bring your own camera phone or digital camera to take pictures. This is the set-up meeting to give you all of the information you will need to do the event. You will be traveling all around the Convention Center and surrounding areas to capture snaps of all sorts of different things, places and people. A great introduction for people new to Gen Con and a blast for anyone coming to Gen Con again. Also great for families! The final awards will be given on Friday from 9-10:00am.
