Come enjoy a game of the original Battletech game, that got you started with 3025 technology just like we used to play. Standard Mechs and variants will be provided, players are welcome to bring their own miniatures.
This game is a miniatures-based combined-arms mass-combat game that uses all the units you know from Battletech. It is designed to let you play larger scale battles (many, many units) in a few hours or a smaller game much quicker. It is also miniatures-based, which means the board is not hexed like in classic Battletech and instead miniatures rules are used. Likewise, instead of using the 8.5" by 11" record sheet per mech that classic Battletech uses, the game uses a playing card size record sheet per unit (though these are often printed on one sheet of paper to save space and organization). This event will teach all of the basics of the game system so you can then feel confident to play on your own or in our other similar events.
